Opening of New Building for LECO Customer Service Center-Kandana

LECO own new building for the Kandana Customer Service Center (at 253/2, Linton road, Kandana) has been declared open by Hon. Minister of Power Mr.Dallas Alahapperuma on 17th December 2020. Hon. Member of Parliament Mr. Nalin Fernando, Secretary to the Ministry of Power, Mrs.Wasantha Perera, LECO Chairman Mr.Athula De Silva and CEB Chairman Eng.Vijitha Herath also graced the occasion.

This Customer Service Center is equipped with enhanced facilities such that attending service breakdowns are being monitored remotely for quick restoration. LECO’s new introduction “LECO Payment Kiosk” is also located at this place enabling easy payment options to the customers in Kandana area. This building is also powered with 20 kWp solar roof top system and equipped with modern Energy Monitoring System. It is expected that LECO service quality to the customers will be improved as the outcome. 

At this occasion LECO also introduced LECO Payment Kiosk Service, LECO e-Application Service,  LECO e-Electricity Billing Service and LECO Instant Payment Gateway Service to the customers as passing major milestones of moving towards a digital utility. 

LECO Payment Kiosk

LECO introduces complete customer payment solution through “Payment Kiosk” to customers. With this new introduction, LECO customer payments are made much easier and convenient to the customers.  Special feature of this payment kiosk is that customers can pay their electricity bills and other LECO payments including new connection, meter testing etc. by Cash or Cheque. This is also a 24hrs and 365 days open service to our valuable customers. 

LECO e-Applications Service

LECO service applications can be lodged through online by new and existing customers. Once customer applied through our e-application portal, LECO staff will visit customer premises and attend to the request. This service includes almost all customer service requests including New Service Connections,  Account Name Change, Tariff Change, Meter Testing , Net Meter connections, Service Wire/Pole/Meter shifting etc. Customers are also given access to monitor status of the application and pay online to our services.

LECO e-Electricity Billing 

LECO also introduces e-Electricity billing to the customers. Upon submission of an application for e-Electricity billing, new Smart Energy Meter will be fixed free of charge. Monthly meter readings will be taken remotely and e-Electricity bill will be delivered to the customer’s registered email. Such customers are also given benefit of viewing daily energy usage through MyLECO mobile app or LECO customer portal.

LECO Instant Payment Gateway

With the aim of promoting customer payments by credit cards without visiting any payment collection locations, LECO Instant Payment Gateway (IPG) is established. Customers are given access to this IPG through LECO website, LECO e-application portal, MyLECO mobile app and via e-Electricity bill.
